Installation of drywall boxes around the perimeter of the room
A stretch fabric is attached inside the drywall box. The dimensions of the box are chosen individually, however, if you want to raise the ceiling and emphasize the beauty of the stretch ceiling, then it is better to make the side plasterboard panels thin. A special visual effect can be achieved if lighting fixtures are mounted inside the box.
If the room is small, then it is better to abandon the chandelier and limit yourself to spotlights around the perimeter of the room. For this purpose, lamps with a power not exceeding 10-30 watts are suitable. A magnificent, original effect can be achieved by installing two rows of lamps of different intensity and setting a certain sequence of their inclusion.
An excellent alternative to the traditional rectangular drywall perimeter is a neat oval or circle in the center of the room with a stretch fabric fixed inside. In such cases, stretch fabrics display the starry sky or the sky of a sunny day. However, this design has "pitfalls". The simplest option for creating a combined stretch ceiling on your own is a construction with a plasterboard box around the entire perimeter of the room. To install the box, install a plastic or aluminum frame for the stretch fabric at a distance of no more than 5 cm from the main ceiling.

Regardless of the area of the room, use hangers, since one side of the box must be fixed to the ceiling or wall, and the second - exclusively to the ceiling. Armed with a level, adjust the height of the suspensions and fix them in one position. Between the base of the ceiling and the drywall box, leave a small space for attaching the tension structure. Now you should remember about the wiring - you should run the cable in the areas of future attachment of light sources. After completing the installation of the box, using an electric drill with a special nozzle, make several holes for spotlights. 
Having mounted the drywall box, proceed with the installation of the stretch fabric. Fastening in the corners of the room is carried out using clips. As the material is heated with a heat gun, carefully tuck the edge of the film into the grooves of the previously installed frame. Having filled all the edges of the canvas, wait for the air in the room to cool completely. The cooled down film forms ideally equal, smooth surface.
It should be remembered that the stretch ceiling structure is installed after replacing windows. In this case, the double-glazed window is covered with polyethylene to avoid possible damage. It is not recommended to engage in the installation of the ceiling structure immediately after pasting the room with wallpaper, since working with a heat gun can cause the wallpaper to dry out and further lag behind the surface.
