It is distinguished from ordinary wallpaper by both its high, clear and expressive relief and its composition: a mixture of wood flour, linseed oil, wax, chalk and rosin, applied to a paper or jute base.
Linkrust has many advantages, among which the most important are respectable appearance and durability. This beautiful covering decorates the halls of Buckingham Palace, the White House, luxury hotel rooms and luxury cabins of luxury yachts. Being relatively soft in the first few years, over time linkrust becomes stronger and harder, as the natural components included in its composition gradually turn to stone. The lifespan of the material is calculated in decades and even centuries. It is also important that walls covered with linkrust “breathe” perfectly. Moreover, the flaxseed oil it contains is a natural antiseptic that prevents the development of fungi and mold in conditions of high humidity. This means that this material can be used to decorate the walls of kitchens and even bathrooms (with the exception of “wet” areas).

The minimum drying time for wallpaper is 24 hours, but it is better not to disturb it for several days. After the glue has completely set and the canvases have dried and become hard, you can begin finishing - coating with protective and decorative compounds. Problems:

Considering that Lincrusta contains linseed oil, not all paints are suitable for it. So, after 1-2 months it begins to peel off and fall off water-based paint. Waterborne paints simply do not adhere to Lincrusta surfaces. The manufacturer recommends using oil paints based on natural drying oil for decoration so as not to disturb the environmental purity of the product. You can also use acrylic enamels on a synthetic base.
